September 2018 Words of Life (Week 2)

We are now live streaming all of our AIM church services.  If you would like to watch them live, you can see them on our Youtube channel – https://www.youtube.com/aim2livehigher/  or our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/TheAIMChurch/  Because of restrictions on streaming copyrighted songs, we will not be filming our praise and worship.  Our plan is to start streaming our Sunday services around 11:30 AM CST and 7:30PM CST for our Thursday services.  We always strive to be led of God’s Spirit.  So please know that these times above are approximations depending on when our praise and worship service is over.  If the streaming is going to start late, we will keep you updated in the chat window on the youtube watch page.  
The first teaching below is from our Sunday service on September 9th. The second teaching is from our course on “Competencies of True Believers” from Thursday, September 13th.  The notes below coincide with the second video.  

The objectives of this course are:

  • Know the components of competence vs. incompetence
  • Understand the behavioral change process
  • Realize that building competence is a choice
  • Explore the steps in becoming a competent believer
  • Discuss behaviors leading to becoming a competent believer
  • Create a plan to build spiritual competence
  • Discuss barriers to building spiritual competence

  • The Spirit of life vs. the law of sin and death
  • Getting on the Path of Life
  • Humbling yourself and submitting to God’s plan
  • God’s Plan for Man
  • Parable of the Soils – (Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20, Luke 8:4-15)
  • How to be Filled with the Holy Spirit
