Lesson 4 Day 3

The Word says that God has a plan for every one of us. In order for us to know the plan He has for us, we must choose to follow Christ, then daily seek Him through His Word. The plan He has for us requires us to stay on a narrow PATH which He outlines in His Word and reveals to us by His Holy Spirit. As we walk and stay on the PATH, He provides everything we need in life. (note the houses along the PATH).

If at any time we get off the PATH, we must acknowledge our disobedience, ask for forgiveness, get back on the PATH and move forward with His guidance. It is important to realize that when we choose to get off the PATH, we will have to face the consequences of our choices/decisions. However, when we ask for forgiveness, we give HIM the opportunity and the right to turn those things around for good. If we stay on the PATH by walking in obedience to His Word, we will hear Him say at the end of our life, “well done good and faithful servant.”

We as Kings Should Search Matters Out

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14

Sometimes it seems as though your answer is like a needle in a haystack.  In many cases it is.  There is a solution to every problem or question, but you may have to search to find it.  Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Think of it like a crossword puzzle.  You may want to know the answer to 4 across.  Not knowing the answer, you will have to answer 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 down to help you with 4 across.  This will give you the first letter B, last letter M, and a T, L, and H in the middle.  This will help you with the answer of “Bethlehem” for the birthplace of Jesus.

God will not lead you to 4 across if you are not ready for it.  Exodus 13:17-18 says, “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.”  God knew the children of Israel needed to put their trust in Him, but were not doing so.  He led them the long way by the Red Sea instead of the shorter path.  This is where God parted the Red Sea and saved the children of Israel from the Egyptians.  God was giving them an opportunity to put their faith in Him.  If they had the faith and obedience from the start, this might not have been necessary.  Thankfully God is patient with us and works with us where we are (2 Peter 3:9).  You will find your answer if you keep searching (Jeremiah 29:13) and walking in obedience to what you know to do.

Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Psalm 25:14 – The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.

Bonus: Deuteronomy 30:19-20 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.
